SYMPTOMS

  • Pain or tenderness in your face, jaw joint area, neck, and in or around the ear when you chew, speak, or open your mouth wide

  • Pain radiating down to your arms and hands

  • Neck hurts or feels stiff especially when working on computer or texting

 

Neck Pain

Neck pain can be caused due to a wide number of reasons. Your neck muscles and ligaments support a majority of the head movements. There can be some sort of inflammation or injury that can be caused due to jerks or excessive pressure on one part of the neck. Physical therapy can help cure acute pain as well as any chronic neck and TMJ problems.

 

Common causes include

  • Meningitis

  • Arthritis or related physiological changes

  • Osteoporosis

  • Spondylosis

  • Degeneration of Cervical Discs

  • Ruptured or Slipped Disc
